1. Data We Collect
We collect the following categories of personal data when you use AI-nime:
- Account data. Your name, email address, username, and profile information provided when you register via Clerk.
- Content. Stories, images, audio, and other files you upload or generate through the Service.
- Usage data. Pages visited, features used, generation requests, session duration, IP address, browser type, and device information.
- Payment data. Payments are processed entirely by Stripe. We do not store your card number or full payment details. We receive a transaction record and subscription status from Stripe.
- Age confirmation. A timestamp confirming that you confirmed your age as 18 or older during onboarding.
- IP consent. A timestamp confirming your declaration that content you submit is your original work and does not infringe third-party intellectual property.
2. How We Use Data
We use your data to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the Service
- Authenticate your identity and manage your account
- Process payments and manage credits
- Generate AI content in response to your inputs
- Enforce our Terms of Service and Content Guidelines
- Send transactional emails (account, billing, security)
- Respond to support requests and legal obligations
- Analyse aggregate usage patterns to improve performance
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your content to train AI models without your explicit written consent.
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party processors to provide the Service. Each processes data on our behalf under their own privacy and data protection commitments:
- Clerk — authentication and user management
- Supabase — database and file storage
- Anthropic — AI story analysis and teaser planning
- Replicate — AI image generation
- FAL.ai — AI video generation
- ElevenLabs — AI voiceover generation
- Stripe — payment processing
- Vercel — cloud hosting and edge delivery
We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of these services. We only share the minimum data necessary for each service to function.
4. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Generated content and uploaded files are retained to enable the Service to function and may be stored for up to 12 months after your last activity.
If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (for example, financial records required by tax regulations).
5. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights under the GDPR, UK GDPR, and/or the CCPA:
- Access. Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification. Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erasure. Request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten").
- Portability. Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Object. Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Withdraw consent. Withdraw any consent you have given at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
To exercise any of these rights, email legal@ai-nime.com. We will respond within 30 days. California residents may also submit requests under the CCPA through the same channel.
6. Cookies
We use only essential cookies necessary to operate the Service — for example, to maintain your session and authentication state. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies.
You may disable cookies in your browser settings, but this may prevent some features of the Service from functioning correctly.
7. Children's Privacy
The Service is strictly for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If we become aware that personal data of a minor has been submitted, we will delete it immediately and terminate the associated account.

8. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit, encrypted storage, access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
In the event of a data breach that affects your rights and freedoms, we will notify you and the relevant supervisory authority within the timeframes required by applicable law.

YOUR CONTENT RIGHTS
AI-nime is built on a simple principle: your story is yours.
- You own your IP. Every teaser, storyboard, and scene generated from your story belongs to you. AI-nime claims no ownership over your original work or the outputs it produces.
- We never train on your content. Your stories, images, and uploads are never used to train AI models — by us or any of our third-party providers — without your explicit written consent.
- DMCA compliance. We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe content on AI-nime infringes your copyright, contact us at legal@ai-nime.com with a DMCA takedown notice and we will respond within 5 business days.
- Commercial license. Teasers generated on paid plans (CHUNIN and above) include a commercial use license — you can publish, distribute, and monetise them. GENIN outputs are for personal and non-commercial use only.
