Terms of Service

1. Who We Are

AI-nime is an AI-powered creative platform that enables independent manga artists, webtoon creators, and light novel authors to transform their stories into cinematic anime-style teasers. These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of AI-nime's website, platform, and services (collectively, the "Service").

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

The Service is intended solely for individuals who are 18 years of age or older. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement. We may terminate any account at our sole discretion if we have reason to believe the account holder does not meet this requirement.

If you are accessing the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.

You may not share your account with any other person. Each account is issued to a single individual. Accounts used in violation of these Terms may be suspended or terminated without notice.

4. Intellectual Property

You own your work. You retain full ownership of all original stories, artwork, characters, and other creative content you upload or generate using the Service.

Licence to AI-nime. By submitting content to the Service, you grant AI-nime a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to process, store, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. We do not use your content to train AI models without your explicit, separate written consent.

Your declaration. You represent and warrant that you own, or have all necessary rights and licences to, any content you submit, and that submitting it does not infringe any third party's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.

AI-generated content. Content generated by AI tools on the Service (images, video, audio) is provided for your personal, non-commercial creative use unless otherwise stated in your plan. Ownership and commercial licensing of AI-generated content may vary depending on the third-party AI model used; please review applicable third-party terms.

5. Prohibited Content

You must not upload, create, generate, or share any content that:

• Sexually exploits or depicts minors in any form (CSAM)
• Is explicitly sexual or pornographic
• Depicts real, identifiable individuals in a sexual or defamatory context
• Reproduces copyrighted characters, artwork, or dialogue without authorisation
• Constitutes hate speech, incitement to violence, or discrimination based on race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or nationality
• Promotes, facilitates, or glorifies terrorism, self-harm, or suicide
• Contains malware, phishing, or other harmful code
• Impersonates another person, creator, or brand
• Violates any applicable law or regulation
• Is designed to deceive, defraud, or manipulate users

6. Content Moderation

AI-nime uses automated content filtering and human review to enforce these Terms. We reserve the right to remove any content, suspend access, or terminate accounts that violate our policies, at our sole discretion and without prior notice.

If your content is removed or your account is actioned, you may submit an appeal to legal@ai-nime.com within 30 days of the action.

7. DMCA Takedowns

We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe content on our platform infringes your copyright, please send a written notice to legal@ai-nime.com including: (a) identification of the copyrighted work; (b) identification of the infringing material and its location on our platform; (c) your contact information; (d) a statement of good-faith belief that the use is not authorised; and (e) a statement under penalty of perjury that you are the rights holder or authorised to act on their behalf.

Counter-notices may be submitted in accordance with the DMCA. Repeat infringers will have their accounts terminated.

8. Payments

Paid features on the Service are processed via Stripe. By making a purchase, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. All prices are displayed in USD unless otherwise stated.

Credits purchased are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. Subscription fees are billed in advance and are non-refundable for the current billing period. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice.

9. Platform Availability

We aim to keep the Service available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be unavailable during maintenance windows, or due to circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any loss arising from downtime.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice where practicable.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, AI-nime and its directors, employees, and contractors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) £100.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where mandatory local consumer protection law requires otherwise.
